Hands Of Hope

Benny & Brenda Puckett are the Co-Founders of Hands of Hope-International.  They each have accomplished backgrounds in business.  Both have worked up from the ground floor of business to corporate level management.  They have a loving, romance-filled marriage and a healthy, happy God centered family.

After returning to Plaquemines Parish from evacuating in the path of Hurricane Katrina on August 29, 2005, Benny & Brenda felt led by God to begin assisting the residents of Plaquemines Parish recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina.  Hands of Hope is a ministry providing coordination and leadership for volunteer disaster relief responses and restoration efforts across all ethnic, religious and economic boundaries.  Through Hands Of Hope Benny & Brenda are finding volunteer workers and donated resources for Plaquemines Parish residents who have unmet needs.  Today and everyday you will find them helping someone somewhere put their life back together.  Benny & Brenda have experienced life’s successes and failures.  Through it all they have found that by putting God first in their lives, and by having a unity of love for each other, God is able to turn certain defeat into victory and bring success when failure seems imminent.

Benny is a published songwriter, an accomplished vocalist and a speaker.  He has the stage presence that comes with years of experience in interfacing with audiences. Benny plays several musical instruments but especially enjoys singing and playing the bass guitar.  In addition, Benny has many successful years in business and people management.  After much prayer he has been called to bring his experience and skills to the Missionary field in service for God.

Brenda has many years of successful sales and marketing management experience with an eye for detail.  She maintains a focus and a drive to “get things done” that is seldom witnessed.  It is said, “nothing succeeds like perseverance”.  One of the major reasons for Brenda’s success in the business world is her belief in that adage.  Brenda has a God given ability to develop relationships that result in accomplishing goals, and to promote and manage those relationships over time.  After much prayer she has been called to the Mission field to use her talents, abilities and experience in service for God.
